Daily to/from Yearly payment calculator
Pensions and half-pay allowances are found in two guises in literature. Sometimes a daily amount is given, but other sources give the total yearly allowance. Depending on the research question, it may sometimes be convenient to convert one into the other.
This tool converts a daily sum into the yearly equivalent, or vice versa. With the yearly to daily conversions, the yearly sum given does not need to be neatly divisible by 365. The tool shows the remainder after division in the middle row.
In all the calculations, a year is assumed to number 365 days. Please be reminded that one £ equalled 20 shillings (s), and that one shilling was equal to 12 pence (d).

Poundage additor and subtractor
Working with non-decimal currencies can be problematic, and is prone to errors. This tool allows the addition and subtraction of pre-decimal values of UK currency (one £ = 20 shilling, 1 shilling = 12 pence). When a total sum becomes negative, the lettering will turn become red, and a history of values added is kept for reference.
